The system can be applied to our existing flooring or direct to a concrete. Each installation is carried out by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd and includes the necessary copper earthing strip laid within the flooring and taken to one or more earth points as required by the client. The floor has a typical resistance of 10 x 6 Ω BRITDURA ESD FLOORING complies with the BS standard, the relevant section is detailed below : Please see extract from BS 61340-5-1; 2007 5.3.2 Personnel grounding All personnel shall be grounded or equipotentially bonded according to the requirements below when handling ESDS. When personnel are seated at ESD protective workstations, they shall be connected to ground via a wrist strap system. For standing operations, personnel can be grounded via a wrist strap system or by a flooringfootwear system. When a flooring-footwear system is used, either of the two following conditions shall be met: – the total resistance of the system (from the person, through the footwear and flooring to equipment ground) shall be less than 3,5 X107 Ω; |
