Completion date:
May 2003
Condition of Floor
Power floated concrete which had been worn on the surface and had received a coat of paint in the past.
Installation Programme
The installation was completed in three days over the May Bank Holiday.
Domino Required
A floor coating that would improve the appearance of both the Goods inward and Dispatch areas. It was important that the coating was hardwearing and able to retain a good standard of appearance in the long term.
Preparation
The majority of the floor areas were prepared by shot blasting to remove the existing paint and to provide a key for the new coating. Diamond grinding was used to clean and abrade the concrete underneath racking and along edges.
The Chosen Floor
The Britdura 750 High Build Epoxy Floor Coating manufactured and installed by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd. We liased and planned the new lay out with Domino before commencing the installation. Contrasting colours and line markings were used to designate gangways, storage spaces and fire lanes.
