A single phase of fourteen days during the Summer Shutdown.
Existing Floors
Old heavily contaminated floor. The concrete was undulating and pitted. There were numerous repairs and a smoothing compound running the length of the building to be removed.
Trial Area
To allow Tarkett to assess the performance and suitability of the floor, we were pleased to install trial patches free of charge 1 year prior to commencing the refurbishment.
The Elgood Service
The removal, preparation and installation were project managed entirely by Elgood.
Tarkett Required
A floor strong enough to withstand their day to day use.
A floor that can be cleaned routinely to enhance house keeping.
Preparation
Milling to remove and reduce the floor.
Breakers to attend to edges.
Vacuum contained shotblasting and diamond grinding to prepare the concrete.
The specified flooring
High Strength Industrial Smoothing Screed to an average thickness of approx 10 mm.
The Britdura 750 Highbuild Solvent Free Epoxy Floor Coating in Light Grey and Slate Grey.
Features
The floor was laid to Tarkett's floor plan with yellow Lines and boxes. Red boxes to highlight Fire Extinguisher Points

Floor thickness of approximately 11 mm
Finish
Built in very fine slip resistant finish ideal for use with scrubber dryer machines.

Light Grey and Slate Grey
