Condition of Floors

A polymer concrete which had detached in places The floor had been painted and left contaminated by the previous occupant.

Installation Programme

A single phase of five days ready for use the next day for the arrival of machinery.

A cost effective solution to improving the floor to complete the refurbishment.

Preparation

1. Approximately 65 sq m of contaminated and detached polymer concrete was removed and replaced with 20mm of industrial strength rapid drying smoothing screed.

2. Another 70 square metres of smoothing screed was laid to resurface some office areas which had previously been carpeted.

3. Vacuum contained shotblasting was used to remove the layers of paint. Diamond grinding was used to attend to edges.

Built in fine slip resistant finish ideal for use with scrubber dryer machines.

Industrial Strength Screed to 20mm thickness.

Smoothing Screed to 5mm in offices
